Operative Tungsten Carbide burs are made from high-density, fine-grain carbides designed to provide optimal concentricity that results in a quicker and more precise cutting. The bur's concentricity is essential to ensure a rational alignment and consistent contact between the cutting edge and the cutting surface.

The burs pride an exceptionally stable and functional construction that guarantees long service life with their patented welding process between the carbide head and the surgical-grade stainless steel shank, therefore reducing the risk of breakage. The Tapered Fissure Cross Cut Carbide Burs incorporates notches within their blades that increase cutting efficiency and are ideal for producing angles at the tooth's interior to achieve tooth preparation forms.

They are also excellent for reducing the crown height and sectioning teeth that contain multiple roots. The head of the burs, measuring 1.

6 mm in diameter and 4.5 mm in length, is welded to a Long Straight Shank (HP) used for a low-speed handpiece, typically for diamond cutting discs.

They are fully sterilizable and autoclavable by 121 °C/250 °F for at least 20 minutes or by 134 °C/273 °F for at least 5 minutes.
