Fissurotomy Carbide Burs
- Preserves healthy tooth structure
- Gauges depth in fissure preparation
- Helps in effective diagnosis of suspected pit and caries
- Requires no anesthesia during treatment
The Fissurotomy bur makes early diagnosis of probable pits and fissure caries possible, preserving healthy tooth structure and providing treatment without the need for anesthesia. The bur tip measures 0.
33 mm, shorter and steadier than the 1/4 round, and supports a quicker and smoother cut groove into suspected pits and caries. Unlike thin diamonds, this fine carbide tip does not strip easily, resulting in an optimal cavity preparation form for a flowable composite.
Within 3-5 minutes, the fissure cavity is cut, filled, and completed. The Fissurotomy System is cleaner, more controlled, and inexpensive compared to air abrasion.
Each Micro Narrow Taper Fissure (NTF) has a head diameter of 0.7 mm and a head length of 2.
5 mm to detect narrower pits or fissures of adult molars. Autoclavable up to 121 °C/250 °F
